Zyyo is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented candidate with interpersonal skills for the position of an in-house summer architecture intern. Key responsibilities include assisting the lead architect and construction team with design and project coordination. Candidates should be able to read a drawing set, analyze drawings from consultants, create project drawings, and coordinate on site with existing conditions and construction progress.

Our ideal candidate will think creatively and bring new ideas about the use of space. This candidate will also be an effective communicator with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea. An eagerness to explore new methods and technology is a plus as we are always looking to expand our design horizons.

• Assist design projects from concept development through to completion,
• Develop and present project schematics,
• Adjust designs and plans to meet Lead Architect/Client’s needs,
• Prepare drawings and construction documents utilizing Revit and Bluebeam,
• Conduct research and compile reports on feasibility and environmental impact,
• Comply with safety standards and local planning regulations,
• Collaborate with other design, construction, finance, marketing and technology professionals,
• Have the opportunity for upward mobility within the company post-graduation.

• Currently pursuing a B.S., B.A., or M.S. in Architecture. B.Arch. is a plus, some text
  • Related fields with relevant experience will be considered,
• Previous experience as an architecture intern preferred,
• Excellent technical drawing skills,
• Strong communication and project management skills,
• Knowledge of software programs such as Revit (required), Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Other programs welcome.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills,
• Basic knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards,
• Strong creative and visualization skills.
